In honor of the company's 70th anniversary, the British manufacturer has decided to introduce a limited edition of the most famous SUV of its vehicles, the Land Rover Defender Works V8. This version of the SUV is limited and received charged characteristics, from the engine to the suspension and equipment. A powerful naturally aspirated V8 unit with a volume of 5 liters is installed under the hood. The maximum power is 405 horses, and the torque is 515 Nm.
To transfer torque to the wheels of the SUV, Land Rover Defender Works V8 engineers installed an 8-speed ZF automatic transmission.
The difference can be considered a sport mode, which allows you to move on different road surfaces at different speeds. The maximum speed of such a charged SUV is 170 km / h. According to the manufacturers, the limited SUV can accelerate to 96 km / h in 5.6 seconds. Compared to the same Land Rover Defender, with a base engine with a capacity of 122 horses and a 6-speed manual, it can accelerate to a hundred in 15.8 seconds. As a result, the increase in the power of the Land Rover Defender Works V8 engine has improved the braking system of the SUV. Front disc brakes are installed with a diameter of 335 mm, rear brake discs are 300 mm. The SUV's suspension was updated and adjusted, as well as LED optics were added. The basis for the new items are 18 ″ alloy wheels with 265/65 tires.

The exterior is not distinguished by any special differences, but the interior has acquired high-quality leather upholstery and Recaro sports seats, specially designed for this SUV. The central panel is occupied by a small display of the system based on the proprietary platform Land Rover Classic. According to preliminary data, the new Land Rover Defender Works V8 will be available in two different wheel trims. As for the body colors, there are 8 options available for the buyer's choice.
According to the manufacturer, the limited-edition Land Rover Defender Works V8 SUV will cost from 150,000 British pounds, and it will be available only in the UK. It is worth recalling that the last Land Rover Defender SUV was released in January 2016, in Solihull (England). The new generation will be presented in the second half of 2018, but the release will be launched in Slovakia.
