As noted by the acting. director of the Russian division of Mitsubishi Naoya Takai, the Pajero Sport model previously produced in the Kaluga region will now be imported from Thailand. At the same time, he stressed that we are talking about the latest generation of an SUV, the official sales of which started just a few months ago and which has not yet been officially presented in the territory of the Russian Federation. The reason for the curtailment of part of production is a significant drop in demand for cars of the Japanese brand. So, in comparison with the indicator of 2014, last year the PSMA Rus plant produced 43, 1% fewer cars (25,733 units). The most popular model was the Outlander crossover, the production of which accounted for over 70% of the total number of Mitsubishi cars produced in the Russian Federation.
Recall that in Russia the car is represented by three power units, with a volume of 2, 2.4 and 3 liters, the power of which is 146, 167 and 230 hp. respectively. Buyers can choose from modifications with both an automatic transmission and a variator. The cost of the Mitsubishi Outlander starts at 1, 389 million rubles.
